GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE OF THE PETIT JAPON.COM (JAPAN) WEBSITE
The purchase of any products offered on the PETIT JAPON.com website is subject to the present Terms and Conditions ("Terms and Conditions of Sale").
Any resale or distribution of PETIT JAPON products purchased on the PETIT JAPON.com website is strictly prohibited.
PETIT JAPON may update these Terms and Conditions of Sale at any time.
You can also view the most current version of the General Terms and Conditions of Sale at any time on the PETIT JAPON.com website.
For each order on the PETIT JAPON.com website, your acceptance of the current Terms and Conditions of Sale in force at the date of the order will be requested.
Order Confirmation
At the end of the ordering procedure, you are invited to click on the "Check Out" button to confirm your order.
On confirmation, your order will be transmitted to PETIT JAPON for processing.
Your order cannot then be amended or cancelled except in accordance with the Terms and Conditions of Sale or in provisions provided for within Japanese law.
Confirming your order means your acceptance of the whole Terms and Conditions of Sale.
You will receive an order summary.
Any data recorded by the PETIT JAPON.com website will establish proof of transactions operated between PETIT JAPON and its customers.
In the event of a dispute between PETIT JAPON and one of its customers about a transaction made on the PETIT JAPON.com website, the data registered by PETIT JAPON will be considered as irrefutable proof of the content transaction.
Price Payment
The prices of PETIT JAPON products are in US dollars, inclusive of taxes.
The final amount of your order includes the delivery fee (see "Shipping").
PETIT JAPON reserves the right to amend at any time and without any previous notice the prices of the products on the PETIT JAPON.com website.
The invoicing of the products is based on a price list posted on the PETIT JAPON.com website at the time of the confirmation of your order, subject to the availability of the products ordered at this time.
Any order placed on the PETIT JAPON.com website has to be paid for immediately after confirmation of your order.
We only accept credit card and charge card payment.
You cannot use the customer credit offered by the PETIT JAPON online shop.
Any order is payable in US dollars. We accept payment by Mastercard and Visa.
Your order will be dispatched once your payment has been cleared.
Your debit or charge card will have been debited by the time the goods are despatched.
If any of the ordered items are unavailable, only the price and the delivery cost of the available products will be debited.

Ownership and Title Retention
The products ordered remain the property of PETIT JAPON as legal and equitable owner, and no property in or title to the ordered products shall pass to the customer until full payment for the products has been received by PETIT JAPON.
In case of a payment problem, you shall undertake to return the received products to PETIT JAPON upon its request.
You shall assume the risks (in particular loss, theft or damage) relating to the delivered products from the date of delivery.
Delivery Problems
Failure to deliver or late delivery of the goods exceeding fourteen (14) business days should be reported to our Customer Service Department by email at info@petitjapon.com as soon as possible.
In order for your claim to be accepted, please notify us of the delay within a maximum of thirty (30) calendar days from the date of confirmation of your order.
If there are any discrepancies or problems with your order when the products are delivered to you, you should note the nature of the discrepancy or problem (eg open package, damaged goods, etc) on the delivery note, and sign it.
Then you should contact the Customer Service Department by e-mail at info@petitjapon.com.
If the goods do not conform to your order or you are not satisfied with them, you may return them for an exchange
or request a refund according to the Terms and Conditions contained in the section entitled "Returns - Exchanges - Refunds".
Returns - Exchanges - Refunds
You are entitled to return any product ordered via the PETIT JAPON.com website within fourteen (14) calendar days following the date of delivery, subject to the following Terms and Conditions:
Items must be returned* in their original condition and with their original packaging complete with any related accessories to the following address:
Petit Japon Ltd, Kawaji 1186, Tokamachi, Niigata, Japan 948-0036. (Please use the return label included with your order for this purpose)
You must enclose the original receipt or a copy with your return if you are returning part of your order.
It is your responsibility to obtain proof that the goods have been returned, and to return the goods by registered post or by such other means or carrier of your choice that gives proof of posting and delivery. The cost of returning the goods shall be borne by you.
If you ask for a refund, you should return any product ordered on the PETIT JAPON.com website within fourteen (14) calendar days from the delivery date.
The products have to be returned in accordance with the previous paragraphs and PETIT JAPON Ltd will use all commercially reasonable efforts to ensure that any refund will be made within fourteen (14) business days following the receipt of the goods returned, by crediting your credit or charge card.
In the case of an exchange or refund, the shipping costs incurred in returning any replacement goods to you will be refunded if you were justified in returning the goods because they were not as ordered (eg product reference error, damaged goods, etc).
PETIT JAPON Ltd has sole discretion in determining whether the products are in their original condition when returned to the PETIT JAPON.com online shop.
PETIT JAPON Ltd will not be responsible or liable if any item you wish to return to the PETIT JAPON.com online shop is lost, misdirected or delivered late insofar as you have to bear the risks of the shipping method you have chosen.
* For items received as a gift obtained from the PETIT JAPON.com website, you are only entitled to a merchandise exchange. We do not issue refunds, even in part, if the item you wish to return was received by you as a gift.
Returns to PETIT JAPON online shop
Any PETIT JAPON product purchased from PETIT JAPON.com may also be exchanged for a different product within fourteen (14) calendar days following the date of delivery, subject to the following Terms and Conditions:
- Returns must be in their original condition and with their original packaging.
- You must provide the original receipt along with your returns, or a copy of the receipt if you are returning part of your order.
- The shipping costs of the first delivery of a product purchased on the PETIT JAPON.com website will not be refunded when you return the product for exchange to the PETIT JAPON online shop.
In order to ask for refund for a product purchased on the PETIT JAPON.com website by exercising your cancellation rights, you must follow the above procedure entitled "to Petit Japon.com website".
Legal
In the case of legal dispute these General Terms and Conditions of Sale shall be governed by and construed in accordance with Japanese law.
PETIT JAPON Ltd shall be entitled to seek and obtain an injunctive or other equitable relief to protect its rights hereunder.
