I am Tsutomu Ben Hosaka, born in Tokamachi, Niigata prefecture,
Japan in October 1976 and am the Chief Executive Officer of Petit Japon,
the company I founded in July 2007 with 3000 euros and
a unique idea - to export authentic silk kimonos directly
from my hometown in Japan to European countries.
I am actively seeking to forge direct links between the Niigata area and Europe.

Before establishing...

Before establishing PETIT JAPON, I worked for three-and-a-half years for Tokyo Electron Europe Ltd in Grenoble in France
as a product specialist in the semiconductor industry, in a support and planning role as part of a multinational team.
I was responsible for technical support and delivering customer satisfaction for both French and German clients in this market.

I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Ecological Engineering from the Toyohashi University of Technology in Japan,
and a Master's Degree in Business Administration from the University of Edinburgh Business School (2008).

<Interest>

My main interests are collecting Japanese antiques, cooking Japanese cuisine (especially Sushi), travelling around the world,
skiing, swimming and demonstrating Japanese culture.
Introducing Japanese traditional culture such as kimono is a large part of my life.
